What do election workers do?
ā¢Help make sure voters are qualified.
ā¢Assist voters with the voting process.
ā¢Assist with opening/closing the polling place.
What are the requirements to be a bilingual election worker?
ā¢18 years of age or older (or 16 years old for student worker program)
ā¢Registered to vote in McLennan County
ā¢Fluent in English & Spanish
What is the time commitment?
ā¢Be available to work the whole day 6 AM to 8 PM on election day. (Some half-day shifts may be available.)
ā¢There may also be some in-person or on-line training, to be announced.
Do I get paid?
ā¢Yes! Pay for bilingual election workers is $10 an hour for primary elections, $15 for regular elections.
